We were very priviledged during filming to have the fanastic Entr’act Spectacle spend a day filming with us in “The Pomme Du Pain”, our Musketeers’ fictional tavern.
It’s not often you come across a band who play the kinds of hits that can please both renaissance and modern ears alike, but after years of performing to delighted audiences across Europe Entr’act has mastered the art of entertainment.
They very kindly allowed us to use two of their songs in our show, in fact the track “Cahir” is the very one our Porthos refers to as his favourite, and you can listen to a number of their tracks here, as well as being able to download their albums on iTunes.
But in the meanwhile subscribe to them on YouTube for some crazy displays of skill, and enjoy one of their trailers for their live shows (and as scary as they look in make-up, we promise you they’re the loveliest people in real life!):
We’ve already had so much amazing fan art for the show, and it always makes our day when our supporters share their art with us.
Today we’re focussing on fan videos though. Here we have a selection of fan made trailers from the super talented Claire Newman, and quite frankly, she makes our boys look good!
It’s been an exciting few months since the release of Season 1, and we’ve already had the priviledge of being selected for a number of festivals across the globe.
That’s a mention/official selection from every festival we’ve entered so far, which is a fantastic boost for the First Musketeer team, who all worked so hard to bring this series into existence!
Here is an list of our nominations to date:
The Geekie Awards: Honourable Mention and inclusion in their top 8 fictional series.
Raindance Festival: Best New Discovery – Harriet Sams (Director), Best Production Design, Best Costume.
International Online Web Fest: Best European Series (awaiting results)
UK Web Fest: Best UK Series (Winner)
Toronto Web Fest: Best Action/Adventure Series, Best Screenplay – Harriet Sams (awaiting results)
The First Musketeer has managed to take home the prize for Best UK Series at the UK Web Fest.
The Writer/Director/Producer Harriet Sams, and two of the stars from the show, Sean Knopp and Jessica Preddy, attended the celebrations in London’s Leicester Square, to eat, drink, and be very merry at our win.
It was a great evening and we’re very thankful to the jury for selecting our show for the big prize.
